Major milestones have been jumped and cleared! I am officially going to be on my way to Africa on June 13th: the ticket is bought!
I have been trying to set these plans for a while and am so glad to finally have that done. :) Thank you to all who have contributed thus far! I appreciate your support so much!
Right now, the plan is for my sister, Kristen, to come with me for the first month and get me "settled in" (a.k.a. she wants to join me in my travels...). I've never travelled internationally so having my seasoned sister along will be very welcome indeed. :) We are both very excited and can't wait to get on that plane......
I've gotten all my shots- Hepatitis, Typhoid, Yellow Fever- all up to date and have been FULLY INFORMED by the guy at the clinic about all of the potential sicknesses i could get, how to prevent them, and how to treat them if I do get them; diarrhea being the number one most popular among travellers.....sounds fun, right?
But don't worry. I'm so hyped up to go and work alongside the Streitzel's, have them teach me the culture and their ministry within it, and continue to follow God's plan for my life that no sickness could possibly get in my way!
I really feel like God has an amazing plan for my life, and as it unfolds I'm seeing more and more of Him in my day-to-day walk. His plans may not always make sense to ME, but He knows what will happen!
Keep on praying and thanks for the support everyone.
